# Virals: West Ham ‘interested’ in CSKA Moscow striker Adolfo Gaich

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/08/26/harry-redknapp-lauds-unplayable-michail-antonio/) are reportedly interested in signing CSKA Moscow striker Adolfo Gaich this summer.

The 22-year-old has appeared on the Hammers’ radar recently as David Moyes attempt to find [additional attacking options](https://www.whufc.com/teams/first-team/squad) to support Michail Antonio.

Moyes could be about to switch the focus to a frontman following the seemingly imminent arrival of Chelsea centre-back [Kurt Zouma](https://readwestham.com/2021/08/27/virals-fabrizio-romano-delivers-here-we-go-on-kurt-zouma-to-west-ham/).

According to a report from the [Reading Chronicle](https://www.readingchronicle.co.uk/news/19539157.reading-fc-cska-moscow-striker-transfer-target-royals/), as cited by [Matt Joy](https://twitter.com/MattJoy96/status/1430828957121662978) on Twitter, Gaich could be a late target.

The report concentrates on interest from Championship side Reading, with the Royals keen to make a loan approach for the [26 times capped](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adolfo-gaich/nationalmannschaft/spieler/608469/verein_id/52540) Argentina youth international.

Gaich spent last season on loan at Serie A club Benevento, [scoring twice](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adolfo-gaich/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/608469) in 15 league outings.

Overall, the Argentine has only managed [10 goals and two assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adolfo-gaich/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/608469) in 61 club career appearances.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £7.2million and under contract until 2025 in Russia ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adolfo-gaich/marktwertverlauf/spieler/608469)), CSKA will [reportedly](https://mundoalbiceleste.com/2021/01/26/adolfo-gaich-to-join-benevento-from-cska-moscow/) demand a fee in the region of £8.5-10 million for their frontman.

Albeit not a prolific striker, the 6’3 powerhouse possesses the [physical attributes](https://ar.marca.com/claro/futbol/san-lorenzo/2019/06/07/5cfa665aca4741ee448b4597.html) to be of huge value to David Moyes’ squad.

Still young enough to improve in front of goal and with a [promising youth international career](https://golazoargentino.com/2018/07/31/adolfo-gaich-brace-gives-argentina-under-20s-victory-over-murcia-in-lalcudia-video/) already under his belt, the Hammers would be wise to take the mini-gamble on Gaich.
