# Virals: Record-breaker Michail Antonio takes over social media

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/08/23/virals-west-ham-moving-forward-in-gaetan-laborde-pursuit/) striker [Michail Antonio](https://readwestham.com/2021/08/19/virals-west-ham-striker-michail-antonio-set-for-jamaica-call-up/) was the talk of social media on Monday night following a memorable evening at the London Stadium.

The 31-year-old scored twice to go one ahead of Irons legend Paolo Di Canio in the all-time [Premier League goalscorer](https://www.premierleague.com/clubs/25/West-Ham-United/stats) list for the club.

Antonio [scored twice late on](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58226789) for David Moyes’ side, numbers 48 and 49 in the top-flight, as the Hammers [thrashed 10-man Leicester City](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2021/august/24-august/extended-highlights-west-ham-united-4-1-leicester-city) 4-1.
