# Virals: West Ham target Jesse Lingard seeking assurances over playing time

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/08/20/paddy-kenny-backs-kortney-hause-to-become-superstar-at-west-ham/) target [Jesse Lingard](https://readwestham.com/2021/08/19/paul-robinson-believes-west-ham-could-face-battle-to-sign-jesse-lingard/) is reportedly seeking assurances over playing time before the end of the transfer window.

The Manchester United attacking midfielder is hoping to receive clarity over involvement in [Ole Gunnar Solkjaer’s plans](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/12358532/jesse-lingard-part-of-man-utds-plans-for-new-season-says-ole-gunnar-solskjaer) for the 2021/22 season.

Irons’ boss David Moyes could be [watching on carefully](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/west-ham-transfer-news-jesse-lingard-man-utd-david-moyes-hope-b935221.html) as the 28-year-old potentially looks to force a move should regular playing time not be forthcoming.

That’s according to a report from [The Times](https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/jesse-lingard-hoping-to-get-clarity-on-united-future-during-next-few-games-cp7ppz397), as cited by [RumorsTransferNews24/7](https://twitter.com/rumorstransfers/status/1428468069538619395) on Twitter.

The report claims that the [29 times capped](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jesse-lingard/nationalmannschaft/spieler/141660/verein_id/3299) England man will hope to further advance a rekindled international career should an Old Trafford future be in doubt.

Last season the Warrington-born ace was able to force a way back into Gareth Southgate’s squad with [nine goals and five assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jesse-lingard/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/141660) in 16 Premier League appearances.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £19.8million and under contract until 2022 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jesse-lingard/marktwertverlauf/spieler/141660)), Manchester United are [reportedly](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1477750/Manchester-United-transfer-news-Jesse-Lingard-West-Ham-update-latest) demanding around £25million for their playmaker.

A revelation in east London last term, the [versatile forward](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jesse-lingard/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/141660) would likely slot back into Moyes’ plans seamlessly.

Albeit an expensive outlay, given the [impact](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11096/12273193/jesse-lingard-in-scintillating-form-at-west-ham-after-loan-from-man-utd#:~:text=In%20addition%20to%20producing%20a,15%20unblocked%20shots%20or%20more.) and positions affected, signing Lingard would make plenty of sense.
