# Virals: West Ham at ‘advanced stage’ for Abdallah Sima transfer

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/08/11/alex-crook-tells-west-ham-to-look-out-for-movement-on-divock-origi/) are reportedly heading into an ‘advanced stage’ of negotiations in a deal for Sparta Prague forward [Abdallah Sima](https://readwestham.com/2021/07/28/virals-west-ham-monitoring-slavia-prague-forward-abdallah-sima/).

The Hammers have been [linked](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/arsenal-fc-west-ham-transfer-abdallah-sima-b934645.html) with the 20-year-old for a prolonged period and could finally be about to land their man.

Irons’ boss David Moyes looks set to head into the [opening weekend](https://www.whufc.com/fixtures/first-team/fixtures-and-results) of the Premier League campaign with only Michail Antonio available as a recognised frontman.

According to a report from [West Ham Fans.org](https://westhamfans.org/content/abdallahs-move-simas-be-back), as cited by [West Ham Fan Zone](https://twitter.com/WHUFCFZ/status/1425493814068797441) on Twitter, attacking reinforcements could be on the way.

The report cites information from a ‘genuine source’ claiming that the east London club are deep in conversation with Sparta regarding the [twice capped](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/abdallah-sima/nationalmannschaft/spieler/776798/verein_id/3499) Senegal ace.

Last season, Sima [scored 11 times and registered five assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/abdallah-sima/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/776798) in 21 Fortuna Liga outings – adding four Europa League goals in the process.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Described as being [‘always a threat’](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/transfernews/index.html) by Liverpool icon Vladimir Smicer, the £9.9million valued ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/abdallah-sima/marktwertverlauf/spieler/776798)) Senegalese star would be a worthwhile addition to the squad at the London Stadium.

Capable of playing centrally as well as on both wings, Sima is [credited with searing pace](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/abdallah-sima-man-united-assessed-20474856) and impressive finishing ability – two attributes that would endear Moyes to the signing.

Perhaps not the out and out striker many Hammers had hoped for, but adding [further options in forward positions](https://www.whufc.com/teams/first-team/squad) is now an essential part of the remaining days of the transfer window.
