# Virals: Club insider claims Tammy Abraham is ‘keen’ on move to West Ham

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/07/14/virals-chelsea-to-test-resolve-of-west-ham-this-summer-over-declan-rice/) striker target [Tammy Abraham](https://readwestham.com/2021/07/12/virals-west-ham-in-pole-position-to-sign-tammy-abraham/) is said to be ‘keen’ on making the move across London.

Having fallen [down the pecking order at Chelsea](https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/news/tammy-abraham-chelsea-fa-cup-20610685) under new manager Thomas Tuchel, the 23-year-old could seek to find regular first-team football once again this summer.

Irons’ boss David Moyes has previously [dismissed the possibility](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/moyes-reacts-to-talk-of-40m-abraham-raid-as-chelsea-striker-sees-/1c13ll2qjpooo19jbu27rzlvlp) of a £40million move for the England man but could be swayed at a lesser price.

Now, according to the reliable club insider [ExWHUemployee](https://twitter.com/ExWHUemployee) on the latest [West Ham Way](https://www.patreon.com/posts/twhw-podcast-new-53630779) podcast, as cited by [Football Transfers](https://twitter.com/Transferzone00/status/1415232250313011202) on Twitter, Abraham himself could be open to the switch.

Ex described the [London-born ace](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tammy-abraham/profil/spieler/331726) as ‘tempted’ by West Ham before stating that Moyes ‘likes him a lot’.

Despite initial reports claiming a higher asking price, a recent report from [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-west-ham-in-pole-position-to-sign-abraham-as-new-asking-price-revealed/) suggested £30million could get the move in motion.

Last season Abraham netted [12 goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tammy-abraham/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/331726) across all competitions in 32 appearances.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £34.2million and under contract until 2023 in west London ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tammy-abraham/marktwertverlauf/spieler/331726)), spending the mooted £30million on the [six-times capped](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tammy-abraham/nationalmannschaft/spieler/331726/verein_id/3299) star would be a reasonable deal for all parties.

Abraham has proven himself to be a proven Premier League performer with [26 top-flight goals](https://www.premierleague.com/players/13286/Tammy-Abraham/overview) in 89 outings.

Predominantly a [central striker](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tammy-abraham/leistungsdaten/spieler/331726), the Englishman would offer direct competition to Michail Antonio and perhaps pushed the 30-year-old out into a wide position on occasion.

Slight change to tactics not permitting and perhaps a cursory [attempt to involve Declan Rice](https://talksport.com/football/873149/chelsea-tammy-abraham-tipped-west-ham-sinclair-declan-rice/) in any deal from Chelsea, signing Abraham would be a major coup.
