# Virals: ‘Official’ – Felipe Anderson wears Lazio scarf as deal is ‘completed’

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/07/13/kevin-phillips-believes-declan-rice-will-leave-west-ham-this-summer/) look to have ‘completed’ the sale of [Felipe Anderson](https://readwestham.com/2021/07/08/virals-fabrizio-romano-confirms-done-deal-for-felipe-anderson/) back to former club Lazio.

The Brazilian attacking midfielder was [expected to leave the Hammers](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/12351480/felipe-anderson-west-ham-in-advanced-talks-to-sell-midfielder-to-lazio) after a disappointing loan spell at FC Porto last season.

Italian journalist [Alfredo Pedulla](https://www.alfredopedulla.com/felipe-anderson-e-la-lazio-domani-le-visite-non-cerano-piu-dubbi/) had claimed that the 28-year-old will undergo a medical in order to finalise a switch to the Serie A side.

Now, [Football Transfers](https://twitter.com/Transferzone00/status/1414895786416959491) on Twitter have posted an image of the star donning a Lazio scarf in the back of a car claiming the move is all tied up.

Recently, [Fabrizio Romano](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1398261011426201611) claimed that the deal won’t involve a transfer fee and instead will carry a 50 per cent sell-on clause.

Anderson arrived in east London from Lazio for £34.2million in 2018 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/felipe-anderson/transfers/spieler/159372)), before making 73 appearances as an Iron.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Selling the [once capped Brazil](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/felipe-anderson/nationalmannschaft/spieler/159372/verein_id/3439) man was a must this summer in order to free up a squad space and player wages.

However, although nothing has yet been officially confirmed by either club, allowing the [£9million valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/felipe-anderson/marktwertverlauf/spieler/159372) ace to leave for free seems an odd piece of business.

Whilst [form would dictate](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/felipe-anderson/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/159372) a low incoming fee, recouping any of the 2018 expenditure would’ve gone towards David Moyes’ own spending pot.

Overall things [haven’t quite worked](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/felipe-anderson/detaillierteleistungsdaten/spieler/159372) for Anderson at the London Stadium, but the club and supporters would no doubt with the Brazilian all the best.
