# Virals: West Ham ‘return to charge’ for Youssef En-Nesyri

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/07/09/virals-west-ham-expected-to-make-bid-for-paul-onuachu/) are believed to retain an interest in major January target [Youssef En-Nesyri](https://readwestham.com/2021/06/22/virals-west-ham-facing-epl-competition-in-youssef-en-nesyri-pursuit/) this summer.

Having seemingly [gone all out](https://talksport.com/football/821164/west-ham-offer-sevilla-youssef-en-nesyri-bid/) to land the Sevilla star following the [departure of Sebastien Haller](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/12181609/ajax-trying-to-sign-sebastien-haller-from-west-ham#:~:text=West%20Ham%20have%20agreed%20to,in%20the%20summer%20of%202019.) only to be rebuffed at every turn, the Hammers could be about to return.

The 24-year-old striker could be forced to move on as the [La Liga side](https://www.skysports.com/la-liga-table) look to strengthen their side with new additions.

That’s according to Spanish outlet [Marca](https://www.marca.com/futbol/sevilla/2021/07/08/60e6c40846163f20098b4623.html), as cited by [Sport Witness](https://twitter.com/Sport_Witness/status/1413415755803238401) on Twitter, claiming David Moyes could still reignite an interest.

The report does go on to claim En-Nesyri is unwilling to leave Seville and regards the Irons as a ‘second-row club’ despite [qualifying for the Europa League](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2021/may/23-may/west-ham-united-qualify-uefa-europa-league-final-day-win-over#:~:text=Match%20Report-,West%20Ham%20United%20qualify%20for%20UEFA%20Europa,final%2Dday%20win%20over%20Southampton&text=A%20first%2Dhalf%20brace%20from,for%20the%20UEFA%20Europa%20League.) next term.

En-Nesyri netted a remarkable [24 goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/youssef-en-nesyri/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/433049) in just 46 appearances between La Liga and Champions League last season.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Signing the [35-cap Morrocan international](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/youssef-en-nesyri/nationalmannschaft/spieler/433049/verein_id/3575) this summer would certainly resolve the need for a top-quality forward addition.

Valued at £36million and under contract until 2025 in Spain ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/youssef-en-nesyri/marktwertverlauf/spieler/433049)), it would likely take a new [transfer record-breaking bid](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/west-ham-united/transferrekorde/verein/379) to prize the star to east London.

Were the player to be interested unlike the report suggests, the Irons could certainly do much worse than En-Nesyri given the [star’s quality](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/323547/Show/Youssef-En-Nesyri).
