[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/07/09/virals-leaked-throwback-west-ham-kits-hit-social-media/) are ‘expected’ to make an imminent bid for Genk striker [Paul Onuachu](https://readwestham.com/2021/06/30/virals-west-ham-in-talks-over-paul-onuachu-transfer/).

This comes as the [Nigerian international’s](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/paul-onuachu/nationalmannschaft/spieler/272855/verein_id/3444) agent reportedly informs the Hammers that the 27-year-old will cost €15million (£12.9million) plus add ons this summer.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £18million and under contract until 2024 in Belgium ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/paul-onuachu/marktwertverlauf/spieler/272855)), the mooted valuations are certainly reasonable.

Predominantly operating as a central striker, Onuachu has notched an impressive [124 goals in 265 career outings](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/paul-onuachu/leistungsdaten/spieler/272855).

As West Ham prepare to embark on a Europa League campaign, a competition the Nigerian has [experience](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/paul-onuachu/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/272855/wettbewerb/EL/verein/865) within, this signing could be the boost the squad requires.
