# Virals: Declan Rice asks ‘Why always me’ after brutal goal celebration

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/07/02/virals-manchester-united-could-be-forced-to-sell-jesse-lingard/) midfielder [Declan Rice](https://readwestham.com/2021/07/01/virals-exwhuemployee-confirms-declan-rice-contract-refusal/) has taken to social media to question his own involvement in another goal celebration.

After [collapsing with cramp](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9743499/Euro-2020-Declan-Rice-collapsed-cramp-celebrated-Harry-Kanes-goal-against-Germany.html) en route to celebrating Harry Kane’s goal against Germany in midweek, the 22-year-old was this time emersed in the action.

Joining Manchester United defender Harry Maguire to mark the second goal on the night as the Three Lions [cruised past](https://www.theguardian.com/football/live/2021/jul/03/ukraine-v-england-euro-2020-quarter-final-live-score-updates) Ukraine, Rice was accidentally placed in a chokehold by captain Harry Kane.

As the footage appeared on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/_DeclanRice/status/1411455216432648193), the Iron asked ‘Why always me’.

Despite visibly struggling, the central midfielder saw the funny side and still managed to put in a [stirring display](https://www.sofascore.com/player/declan-rice/856714) for Gareth Southgate’s men.

Prior to being replaced on 57 minutes in order to guard against suspension, Rice had one shot on target, 50 touches and earned a rating of 7.0 ([Sofascore](https://www.sofascore.com/player/declan-rice/856714)).

England will now face Denmark in the [semi-finals on Wednesday](https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro-2020/) at Wembley – hoping to book a place in the final to face either Spain or Italy.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Despite being somewhat on the wrong end of the festivities, Rice will no doubt take a bout of cramp and a minor choke if it means England [continue to score](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5XC1swFQTE) goals.

Perhaps the Hammer should net the next one himself and lead the celebrations.
