# Jesse Lingard reportedly set to make decision on future next month

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/06/17/west-ham-face-further-premier-league-competition-for-adam-armstrong/) manager David Moyes made no secret of a desire to sign [Jesse Lingard](https://readwestham.com/2021/06/09/west-ham-accelerate-pursuit-of-manchester-united-star-jesse-lingard/) on a permanent basis after a successful spell in east London.

After narrowly missing out on the [England squad](https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro-2020/teams/39--england/squad/), the loan sensation will make a decision regarding any summer move next month.

That’s according to a report from the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9692791/Jesse-Lingard-set-talks-Man-United-chiefs-month-decide-Old-Trafford-future.html), as cited by [West Ham News](https://twitter.com/_WEST_HAM_NEWS_/status/1405154907330650115) on Twitter.

The report claims the 28-year-old attacking midfielder will mull over the options and make a firm decision in July – with the [possibility of a stay at Old Trafford](https://www.teamtalk.com/news/west-ham-agony-fernandes-influence-solskjaer-jesse-lingard-man-utd-clean-slate) seemingly still on the table.

Despite failing to [play a single minute](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jesse-lingard/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/141660/saison/2020/wettbewerb/GB1) of Premier League football in the first half of the 2020/21 campaign, Lingard hit the ground running at the London Stadium and fished the season with [nine goals and five assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jesse-lingard/leistungsdaten/spieler/141660) in just 16 outings.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Signing Lingard remains [high on the list of summer priorities](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/west-ham-summer-to-do-list-2021-b936809.html) for a majority of Hammers.

This is in no small part due to making such an impression with both [on-field performances](https://www.sofascore.com/player/jesse-lingard/205508) and off-field comradery.

The [29-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jesse-lingard/nationalmannschaft/spieler/141660/verein_id/3299) ace appeared to immediately fit into the group and recent images of Lingard supporting the Three Lions whilst [sporting a Declan Rice shirt](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/jesse-lingard-england-euro-2021-croatia-declan-rice-shirt-parrott-b940356.html) only further cement the belief a permanent move to West Ham could be in the offing.

Valued at £19.8million ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jesse-lingard/marktwertverlauf/spieler/141660)), previous [reports](https://www.teamtalk.com/news/west-ham-man-utd-outrageous-price-jesse-lingard) have claimed Manchester United will demand a fee in the region of £30million for the ace.
