# After 90: Declan Rice catches up with Marko Arnautovic

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/06/02/virals-stuart-pearce-disappointed-as-jesse-lingard-misses-out-on-euros/) star [Declan Rice](https://readwestham.com/2021/05/26/chris-sutton-hails-declan-rice-as-among-best-in-the-premier-league/) posted a picture with ex-Iron Marko Arnautovic on Instagram last night following England’s [1-0 victory](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57250378) over Austria.

This comes in the midst of [reports](https://www.teamtalk.com/news/west-ham-arnautovic-transfer-meet-everton-hurdle) linking the Austrian with a sensational return to East London this summer.

Rice featured for just over an hour for the Three Lions as Arnautovic [watched on from the bench](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpKj1aL4UqM) as his compatriots caused problems for Gareth Southgate’s side.

However, the pair were spotted side by side pre-match and took time to catch up once again after 90 minutes as the 22-year-old midfielder posted the snap on [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/declanrice/?hl=en), as cited by [West Ham Central](https://twitter.com/WestHam_Central/status/1400219341614981123) on Twitter.

The 32-year-old Austrian [responded in kind](https://twitter.com/WestHam_Central/status/1400247553208299527) with the caption ‘My Little Brother’ – signalling a bond between the two.

Any return would be tinged with difficulty after the [87-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marko-arnautovic/nationalmannschaft/spieler/41384/verein_id/3383) Austria international left the London Stadium in [controversial](https://talksport.com/football/471883/marko-arnautovic-agent-west-ham-chinese-super-league/) circumstances.

Currently plying his trade in China for Shanghai Port, Arnautovic has scored [three goals in four games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marko-arnautovic/leistungsdaten/spieler/41384) during the ongoing campaign.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £9million ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marko-arnautovic/marktwertverlauf/spieler/41384)) and seemingly [under contract](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marko-arnautovic/profil/spieler/41384) until December 2022 – West Ham may have to shell out a fee in order to land the Austrian forward.

David Moyes has seemed [open to the idea previously](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/west-ham-transfer-news-arnautovic-moyes-january-window-b696888.html) and with the Scot in desperate need of attacking reinforcements the much-malinged ace could feasibly pull on claret and blue once again.
