# Virals: West Ham target Tammy Abraham ‘set to leave’ Chelsea

Chelsea striker [Tammy Abraham](https://readwestham.com/2021/05/13/virals-west-ham-reportedly-target-two-possible-striker-signings/) is reportedly ‘set to leave’ the club this summer having fallen out of favour under new manager Thomas Tuchel.

The 23-year-old had been a mainstay in Frank Lampard’s plans at Stamford Bridge prior to the former [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/05/21/brian-deane-believes-aleksandar-mitrovic-would-be-a-good-fit-for-west-ham/) academy ace’s [sacking](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55794158) in January.

Since then Abraham has made just [six fleeting appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tammy-abraham/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/331726/saison/2020/wettbewerb/GB1/verein/631) in the Premier League without completing 90 minutes at any point.

The Hammers have been linked for some time, despite David Moyes [ruling out a £40million move](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/tammy-abraham-chelsea-transfer-west-ham-b1841180.html) for the [six-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tammy-abraham/nationalmannschaft/spieler/331726/verein_id/3299) England ace.

According to a fresh report from the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9601939/Tammy-Abraham-reached-point-no-return-Chelsea-Leicester-West-Ham-keen-move.html), as cited by [Simon Phillips](https://twitter.com/siphillipssport/status/1395665853962653696) on Twitter, the Irons, along with Leicester City are the main protagonists for Abraham’s signature this summer.

Whilst the report predicts further interest from elsewhere, the two Premier League sides [set to compete in Europe](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) next season are the only clubs named and are both said to be ‘ready’ to offer Abraham a ‘new home’.

This season the former Aston Villa loanee has scored [12 goals and registered six assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tammy-abraham/leistungsdaten/spieler/331726) across 32 appearances in all competitions.

Signing Abraham would be an [outstanding](https://www.firstpost.com/sports/premier-league-frank-lampard-says-chelsea-striker-tammy-abraham-has-all-attributes-to-be-successful-for-england-7453881.html) start to the summer business for West Ham.

With [26 Premier League goals](https://www.premierleague.com/players/13286/Tammy-Abraham/overview) in 86 career outings – including 15 in 2019/20 – the 6’2 has certainly proven he is capable of becoming an [elite striker](https://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/tammy-abraham-chelsea-england-squad-frank-lampard-gareth-southgate-premier-league) at the top level.

Valued at £36million ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tammy-abraham/marktwertverlauf/spieler/331726)) and noted in particular for his [finishing ability](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/317506/Show/Tammy-Abraham), Abraham would provide the perfect foil alongside Michail Antonio and would perhaps suffice as the only frontman signing.
