# Virals: West Ham are ‘interested’ in Besiktas striker Cyle Larin

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/05/07/mark-lawrenson-predicts-west-ham-will-beat-everton/) manager [David Moyes](https://readwestham.com/2021/05/06/virals-west-ham-account-names-five-top-striker-targets/) won’t be allowing himself to consider summer transfers just yet – concentrating on a potential top-four finish instead.

Despite the job at hand, the Hammers need for a striker this summer is glaringly obvious having [sold Sebastien Haller](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55576847) to Ajax in January.

That departure left an [injury-prone Michail Antonio](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/michail-antonio/verletzungen/spieler/104124) as the only senior, recognised striker available to Moyes.

Whilst the Scot will be hoping to safely negotiate the [final four fixtures](https://www.skysports.com/west-ham-united-fixtures) and finish in a UEFA Champions League spot as a result, speculation elsewhere has already turned to the frontmen the Irons could pursue.

A report from [90 Min](https://www.90min.com/posts/tottenham-west-ham-monitoring-besiktas-forward-cyle-larin) as cited by [Toby Cudworth](https://twitter.com/Toby_Cudworth/status/1390729635265237003) on Twitter, West Ham are believed to be interested in Besiktas striker Cyle Larin.

As mooted, Tottenham are also monitoring the 26-year-old Canadian striker, who was [predicted](https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/) to ‘go far’ by former Brazilian superstar and [Ballon d’Or winner](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/4383-class-act-kaka-wins-the-2007-ballon-dor-award) Kaka.

This season Larin has scored [23 goals and registered four assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cyle-larin/leistungsdaten/spieler/343463) in 41 games – earning a perfect [10 Sofascore rating](https://www.sofascore.com/player/cyle-larin/790179) against Hatayspor in a four-goal masterclass last weekend.

Larin is approaching the [final year](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cyle-larin/profil/spieler/343463) of his deal in Turkey and holds a perceived [market value](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cyle-larin/marktwertverlauf/spieler/343463) of just £8.10million, a figure that would entice the Hammers further.

Capped [33 times](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cyle-larin/nationalmannschaft/spieler/343463/verein_id/3510) by Canada, the powerful frontman possesses similar qualities to Antonio and is capable of playing across [numerous](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/273229/Show/Cyle-Larin) attacking positions, making him perhaps the ideal summer target.
