# Virals: West Ham fans debate Declan Rice inclusion vs Everton

David Moyes could face a selection headache this weekend as [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/05/05/noel-whelan-tips-david-moyes-for-tammy-abraham-u-turn/) get set to welcome [Declan Rice](https://readwestham.com/2021/05/04/virals-declan-rice-shows-admiration-for-manuel-lanzini-performance/) back into the fold.

The 22-year-old has been an [excitable onlooker](https://talksport.com/football/863489/declan-rice-celebrates-jesse-lingard-west-ham-leicester/) for four weeks having returned from international duty with a [knee injury](https://talksport.com/football/860133/declan-rice-west-ham-knee-injury/).

However, having [trained](https://talksport.com/football/866738/declan-rice-injury-update-david-moyes-west-ham-premier-league/) last week, the [15-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/declan-rice/nationalmannschaft/spieler/357662/verein_id/3299) England star could make an eagerly anticipated return to the side on Sunday when Everton visit the London Stadium.

Hammers based Twitter account [West Ham News & Views](https://twitter.com/WestHamViews_/status/1389588152440877057) brought the topic to the attention of the fanbase, posing the question – who should the central midfielder replace?

In Rice’s absence, club captain [Mark Noble deputised](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mark-noble/leistungsdaten/spieler/31835) before Manuel Lanzini stepped into the breach in style during Monday night’s [2-1](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3429824) victory over Burnley.

Prior to his injury, the man [hailed as an ‘outstanding captain’](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8977757/David-Moyes-heaps-praise-Declan-Rice-believes-outstanding-captain.html) by Moyes, had played[every minute](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/declan-rice/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/357662/saison/2020/wettbewerb/GB1/verein/379) in the Premier League – leading to the belief when fit he will come straight back into the side.

Unfortunately, despite putting in a [superb display](https://www.sofascore.com/player/manuel-lanzini/220315) against Burnley it’s likely Lanzini will be the man to make way should Rice indeed be fully fit.

There is a chance the Argentine could remain in the side but in place of a more attacking midfield option, such as [Said Benrahma or Jesse Lingard](https://www.whufc.com/teams/first-team/squad) – both options discussed by supporters in the replies.
