# Report: West Ham interested in Fiorentina youngster Dusan Vlahovic

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/03/06/charlie-adam-tips-ryan-fredericks-to-play-for-scotland/) are interested in signing Fiorentina striker [Dusan Vlahovic](https://readarsenal.com/2016/03/27/arsenal-ready-to-rival-manchester-city-for-new-ibrahimovic/)according to a report from Italian outlet [Calcio Mercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/fiorentina-spunta-una-nuova-squadra-per-vlahovic-56807).

Not alone in their admiration, the Hammers are joined by [Bundesliga giants](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/borussia-dortmund/erfolge/verein/16) Borussia Dortmund in their fondness, who could be lining up an [Erling Haaland replacement](https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/chelsea-transfer-news-erling-haaland-open-to-join-three-premier-league-clubs-but-not-the-blues).

The report claims both clubs like Vlahovic with no further details as to whether there was interest in a summer transfer.

Interest in the 21-year-old is nothing new, with[plenty of speculation](https://www.teamtalk.com/news/newcastle-16m-january-bid-vlahovic-new-ibrahimovic) previously linking [several clubs](https://sempremilan.com/sky-milan-in-talks-with-agent-of-celtic-star-roma-and-fiorentina-forwards-also-targets) with the young Serbian – at which time reports mooted offers between [€30m and €40m](https://sportwitness.co.uk/sure-newcastle-magpies-among-european-sides-made-attempts-20-year-old-last-transfer-window/) could be forthcoming.

At 6’2 Vlahovic offers a genuine focal point in attack and this term has yielded [nine Serie A goals in 24 outings](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dusan-vlahovic/leistungsdaten/spieler/357498/plus/0?saison=2020).

Unsurprisingly billed as[somewhat of a powerhouse](https://footballbh.net/2020/04/03/dusan-vlahovic-2019-20-scout-report-tactical-analysis-tactics/), the burgeoning talent from the Balkans has already earned international recognition, making a[Serbia debut last October](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dusan-vlahovic/nationalmannschaft/spieler/357498/verein_id/3438) and scoring his [first goal](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3330682) soon after.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Signing Vlahovic certainly would make plenty of sense for West Ham, providing the striker was able to adapt to life in the Premier League, which [given his attributes](https://one-versus-one.com/en/players/Dusan-Vlahovic), there should have no issue with, the Serb would potentially provide years of service.

Fiorentina’s demands could prove the major stumbling block were the Irons to pursue this deal, with[two years remaining on his deal](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dusan-vlahovic/profil/spieler/357498) in Florence, there would be no rush to cash in on the starlet.

Champions League football could prove the deciding factor, something West Ham[may be able to offer](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) whilst amazingly [Dortmund](https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bundesliga/table)and [Fiorentina](https://www.skysports.com/serie-a-table)may not.
