# West Ham fans laud player of the month nominee Jesse Lingard

On-loan [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/03/05/west-ham-set-to-miss-out-on-leicester-bound-odsonne-edouard/) star [Jesse Lingard](https://readwestham.com/2021/03/05/sources-confident-west-ham-will-sign-jesse-lingard-in-summer/) has been nominated for the[EA Sports Premier League Player of the Month](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2021/march/05-march/jesse-lingard-shortlisted-two-premier-league-awards) following his fine performances during his first four weeks as a Hammer.

The 28-year-old has kicked-off his Irons career with[three goals in his first five league matches](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jesse-lingard/leistungsdaten/spieler/141660), including two in a [wonderful debut performance](https://talksport.com/football/828768/manchester-united-lingard-debut-double-aston-villa/) against Aston Villa.

Lingard’s recapturing of form has helped propel [David Moyes’ side further up the table](https://www.premierleague.com/tables), with European dreams becoming more a reality with each passing victory.

The [Manchester United loanee](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2021/january/29-january/west-ham-united-sign-england-international-jesse-lingard-loan) will go up against a teammate from his parent club in the shape of Bruno Fernandes [who is also up for the award](https://plpotm.easports.com/).

Unsurprisingly delighted with their newfound hero, a host of happy Hammers have reacted on[Twitter](https://twitter.com/WestHam/status/1367792007259783168)to the attacking midfielder’s recognition…
