# David Moyes hopes to have either Lukasz Fabianski and Darren Randoph ready

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/03/05/west-ham-set-to-miss-out-on-leicester-bound-odsonne-edouard/) manager [David Moyes](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/26/west-ham-fans-react-david-moyes-dismisses-celtic-speculation/) has confirmed there remains a doubt over who will feature in goal on[Monday night against Leeds United](https://www.whufc.com/fixtures/first-team/fixtures-and-results).

Speaking in his [pre-match press conference](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2021/march/05-march/live-blog-david-moyes-pre-leeds-united-press-conference)ahead of the clash at the London Stadium, Moyes confirmed Lukasz Fabianski is yet to train having [suffered an arm injury](https://metro.co.uk/2021/02/27/west-ham-goalkeeper-lukasz-fabianski-misses-man-city-clash-with-injury-14155997/) last weekend in training.

Number two choice Darren Randolph [seemed to be struggling](https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/leeds-west-ham-goalkeeper-injury-19935152)whilst deputising for the Pole and the Scotsman couldn’t be sure of his availability either. He said:

> I think we’re pretty much as we were. Lukasz Fabianksi hasn’t trained yet but has got a chance to play. Darren Randolph’s got a problem with his hip and is doing some work in the gym. I’m hoping we’ll have one of them fit by Monday night.

Fabianski has played [24 times for the Irons](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/lukasz-fabianski/leistungsdaten/spieler/29692) in the Premier League this term with Randolph appearing on the [other two](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/darren-randolph/leistungsdaten/spieler/51321) occasions.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Were the Hammers playing prior to Monday it seems neither ‘keeper would have made it.

Having one of those two fit and available would be a major plus for West Ham’s chances, especially having gone the season without having to [call upon third-choice David Martin](https://www.whufc.com/teams/first-team/squad).

Credit to Martin, who when needed [put in a stellar performance](https://talksport.com/football/636689/west-ham-david-martin-tears-dad-chelsea-premier-league/) against London rivals Chelsea.

However, Fabianski and Randolph are[noticeably ahead of the English stopper](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/david-martin/profil/spieler/15930) in the pecking order and with [Leeds United’s attacking prowess](https://footballdna.co.uk/features/bielsa-leeds-united-attacking-organisation-analysis/) well known. Moyes would benefit from one of his first options being available.
