# Trevor Sinclair a ‘huge fan’ of reported West Ham target Tammy Abraham

Former [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/03/04/frederik-alves-could-be-fast-forwarded-into-first-team-plans/) favourite Trevor Sinclair has professed his admiration for Chelsea striker [Tammy Abraham](https://readwestham.com/2021/03/03/journalist-confirms-likelihood-of-west-ham-interest-in-tammy-abraham/) as reports link the England man with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

The Hammers have been [linked with a move](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2021/03/01/do-chelsea-do-tammy-abraham-thomas-tuchel-seems-unconvinced/)for the 23-year-old should his time in west London[be coming to an end](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/abraham-contract-talks-stall-as-chelsea-striker-seeks-to/12uu8firdd5xa1ochtlo9jsj8k) as Sinclair believes there would be no shortage of interested parties.

He told[talkSPORT](https://talksport.com/football/843349/tammy-abraham-robert-lewandowski-karim-benzema-man-city-manchester-united-arsenal-chelsea/):

> ”His (Abraham) link-up play is excellent and he’s obviously a huge guy. He gets his goals. If you look at some of the top sides in the Premier League, so many of them take him. For me, Manchester City take him, Manchester United would need him, Arsenal would take him, Leicester City and West Ham would take him.”

Sinclair, who played [196 times for the Irons](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/trevor-sinclair/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/3253) went on to describe the Chelsea [academy graduate](https://www.chelseafc.com/en/videos/v/2019/09/16/abraham--mount--tomori--chelsea-s-academy-graduates---premier-le-5kb3NoaTE6hchq4b_6r_trYzqYJQAnwU) as ‘undervalued’ and claimed the Blues would be ‘naïve’ to let Abraham leave.

During the same conversation, co-host Simon Jordan went one step further and compared the striker, who has[six Premier League goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tammy-abraham/leistungsdaten/spieler/331726) this season, with [Robert Lewandowski and Karim Benzema](https://twitter.com/talkSPORT/status/1367188777366650880).

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Signing Abraham would no doubt be a major statement of intent from the club this summer.

Valued at[£36m by Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tammy-abraham/marktwertverlauf/spieler/331726)and with [two years left to run on his contract](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tammy-abraham/profil/spieler/331726)at Chelsea, it’s a transfer that wouldn’t come cheap.

But with funds available from [Sebastien Haller’s sale](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/jan/08/west-ham-sell-sebastien-haller-to-ajax-at-25m-loss)and with the[possibility of fans returning](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league-richard-masters-fans-return-next-season-b920253.html)at the start of next term, the finances could be portraying a brighter look.

David Moyes would likely relish the opportunity to work with the[England ace](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tammy-abraham/nationalmannschaft/spieler/331726/verein_id/3299) and adding him to Michail Antonio suddenly gives the [striking department](https://www.whufc.com/teams/first-team/squad)a whole new dimension.
