# Borussia Dortmund cast an eye on West Ham target Youssef En-Nesyri

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/03/03/report-says-one-key-factor-will-determine-ivan-toneys-future/) reportedly had a [bid rejected](https://talksport.com/football/821406/west-ham-signing-striker-youssef-en-nesyri/) for Sevilla striker[Youssef En-Nesyri](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/24/sevilla-draw-up-plan-for-west-ham-target-youssef-en-nesyri/) in January and are[expected](https://www.estadiodeportivo.com/sevilla/2021/02/09/delantero-gusta-monchi-bajado/319477.html) to reignite their interest in the summer.

The Hammers may face serious competition for the Moroccan’s signature, however, as a report from [Eurosport](https://www.eurosport.co.uk/football/transfers/2020-2021/donnarumma-tops-list-for-chelsea-as-dortmund-plan-for-life-after-erling-haaland-transfer-notebook_sto8155788/story.shtml) has claimed Borussia Dortmund are keen on the 23-year-old.

The Bundesliga giants, who are competing in the [Champions League last 16 against Sevilla](https://www.skysports.com/football/borussia-dortmund-vs-sevilla/440267), are eyeing up a potential replacement for [in-demand superstar Erling Haaland](https://talksport.com/football/792199/erling-haaland-stats-transfer-interest-man-utd-natural-dad-borussia-dortmund/) and the[35-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/youssef-en-nesyri/nationalmannschaft/spieler/433049/verein_id/3575)ace has ‘caught the eye’.

With [multiple reports](https://www.90min.com/posts/exclusive-sevilla-offer-premier-league-target-youssef-en-nesyri-new-contract) claiming the striker will remain a Sevilla player beyond the summer, both the Hammers and Dortmund may struggle to land the [13 La Liga goal man](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/youssef-en-nesyri/leistungsdaten/spieler/433049).

En-Nesryi, who is currently [under contract until 2025](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/youssef-en-nesyri/profil/spieler/433049)at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium, could be [in line for new and improved terms](https://www.football365.com/news/west-ham-target-youssef-en-nesyri-offered-new-sevilla-contract) having exceeded expectations and in order to stave off potential suitors.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Can’t help but feel the Irons might’ve missed the boat on this one.

Hindsight is most certainly a wonderful thing, but perhaps a[slightly improved offer in January](https://talksport.com/football/821164/west-ham-offer-sevilla-youssef-en-nesyri-bid/) might’ve seen the Hammers land a striker who is[fast becoming hot property](https://www.caughtoffside.com/2021/02/23/en-nesyri-liverpool-man-united-transfer-interest/).

Rejuvenated interest this summer could see West Ham face an entirely different landscape and with a [striker signing essential](https://www.teamtalk.com/news/west-ham-plan-adam-armstrong-bid), En-Nesyri may prove a difficult capture.
