# West Ham target Andre Silva discusses rumours and price tag

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/03/02/west-ham-target-adam-armstrong-would-be-granted-premier-league-move/) target [Andre Silva](https://readwestham.com/2021/01/25/west-ham-considering-andre-silva-move-transfer-rumours/) has told Portuguese outlet [O Jogo](https://www.ojogo.pt/internacional/portugueses/noticias/quanto-vale-andre-silva-acho-que-ouvi-em-qualquer-lado-30-e-tal-milhoes-13404475.html) he believes his transfer value stands at around €30million following a successful Bundesliga campaign.

The 25-year-old has bagged[19 goals this term](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andre-silva/leistungsdaten/spieler/198008) in the league having returned to [Eintracht Frankfurt from a loan spell with AC Milan](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andre-silva/transfers/spieler/198008).

Linked with a move to the[Hammers and Premier League rivals Wolves](https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/fussball/eintracht-frankfurt-atltico-will-silva-im-sommer-75260406.bild.html)as well as [La Liga giants Atletico Madrid](https://www.football-espana.net/2021/02/06/atletico-madrid-deadline-day-move-for-andre-silva-blocked) in the past, Silva was jovial in his handling of speculation around his future. He said:

> ”105 million? I’m kidding! I think I heard somewhere around 30 (million). When we sell our merchandise, we always increase the value a little bit. I’ve been hearing rumours but it’s just that. Rumours are rumours. (The transfer speculation) is something that gives me more motivation to work, it is a sign that what I’ve accomplished has borne fruit and the path has been good.”

Frankfurt manager Adi Hutter[recently paid Silva perhaps one of the greatest compliments](https://portugoal.net/portuguese-abroad/1909-he-reminds-me-of-lewandowski-portugal-s-andre-silva-earns-coach-praise-after-frankfurt-brace) for a striker comparing the prolific[Portugal man](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andre-silva/nationalmannschaft/spieler/198008/verein_id/3300) to Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Signing a player of[Silva’s calibre](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/299460/Show/Andr%C3%A9-Silva)would be a superb piece of summer business for West Ham to pull off.

Like the Irons, Frankfurt are currently punching somewhat above their weight in their domestic competition and [as things stand will qualify for the Champions League](https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bundesliga/table)next season.

Should [West Ham maintain their position](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) and the German club fall away, who knows Silva could be turning out at the London Stadium next term – albeit his [€30million estimation is unlikely to get the deal done](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andre-silva/marktwertverlauf/spieler/198008).
