# Report: West Ham to reignite interest in Cyle Larin

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/03/02/west-ham-target-andre-silva-discusses-rumours-and-price-tag/) are planning to revive their efforts to sign Besiktas striker [Cyle Larin](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/01/report-west-ham-make-official-offer-for-cyle-larin/) this summer, having seen attempts in January rebuffed, according to Turkish outlet [Sabah](https://www.sabah.com.tr/spor/futbol/2021/03/01/son-dakika-cyle-larine-west-bromwich-ve-west-ham-united-kancasi-besiktas-15-milyon-euro-istiyor?paging=2).

The report claims the Hammers have [already offered €10m](https://twitter.com/atakankurt2/status/1355905911513092096?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1355905911513092096%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fninetyminutesonline.com%2Freport-west-ham-tried-to-sign-besiktas-striker%2F) for the 25-year-old Canadian but a renewed interest this summer would see the Super Lig club demand €15m.

West Brom are also credited with holding an interest in the striker who has scored [16 goals in all competitions this season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cyle-larin/leistungsdaten/spieler/343463), however, their interest could end should they get relegated.

David Moyes will no doubt[prioritise signing a forward](https://www.teamtalk.com/news/west-ham-plan-adam-armstrong-bid) this summer and Sabah say West Ham are ‘preparing to knock’ on Besiktas’ door again for Larin.

[Capped 31 times](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cyle-larin/nationalmannschaft/spieler/343463/verein_id/3510) by his nation, scoring eight goals, Larin is a [proficient finisher](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/273229/Show/Cyle-Larin) both on the floor and aerially.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Since[arriving in Europe from MLS side Orlando City SC](https://www.themaneland.com/2018/1/29/16948332/cyle-larin-to-besiktas-saga-is-reportedly-over) in 2017/18, this season is by far his best in terms of goals and he has helped fire [Besiktas level at the summit with Galatasaray](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/turkish-super-lig/table).

However, prior to this term [Larin’s record is rather underwhelming](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cyle-larin/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/343463) and despite the relatively affordable asking price, the Irons don’t want to be burdened with a non-goal scoring striker.

Certainly cause for concern were the Canadian to be the only signing.
