# Some West Ham fans baulk at reported Adam Armstrong price tag

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/03/01/report-jesse-lingard-could-be-used-in-declan-rice-offer/) fans have been reacting to[reports over the weekend](https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1068803979?-19872:788:latest_news#out) claiming Blackburn Rovers will demand £25m for striker [Adam Armstong](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/25/blackburn-braced-for-interest-in-west-ham-target-adam-armstrong/) this summer.

The 24-year-old has been in[sensational goalscoring form](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adam-armstrong/leistungsdaten/spieler/250426) this season and it is [widely expected](https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/transfer-news/blackburn-rovers-armstrong-west-ham-19907661)the Hammers will make their interest concrete at the end of the season.

However, with the frontman’s former club [Newcastle United awaiting a 40 per cent sell-on fee](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-adam-armstrong-clause-19795691) for Armstrong, the Irons could be made to pay in excess of what would be a normal valution.

Armstong, a former[England Under 21 international](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adam-armstrong/nationalmannschaft/spieler/250426/verein_id/9565), is valued at[£9m by Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adam-armstrong/marktwertverlauf/spieler/250426)and has entered the[last 18 months of his contract](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adam-armstrong/profil/spieler/250426) at Ewood Park.
