# Many West Ham fans in appreciation as club president denies report

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/03/01/some-west-ham-fans-baulk-at-reported-adam-armstrong-price-tag/) have been[linked](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/west-ham-haller-transfer-sima-23289077)with Slavia Prague striker[Abdallah Sima](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/19/west-ham-target-abdallah-sima-reveals-sadio-mane-inspiration/) for some time now and a recent [report from Claret & Hugh](https://www.claretandhugh.info/hammers-learn-required-fee-for-slavias-sima/) claimed the Czech Republic side had set a £35m price tag for their star.

However, in an unlikely turn of events, the club’s president Jaroslav Tvrdik responded directly on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/JaroslavTvrdik/status/1365584379087618051) to refute the claims and the enthused Hammers faithful responded in numbers.

Sima, who has been [likened to Arsenal and Premier League great Thierry Henry](https://www.teamtalk.com/news/arsenal-rival-juventus-new-thierry-henry-abdallah-sima), has [11 goals in 14 Fortuna Liga appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/abdallah-sima/leistungsdaten/spieler/776798)this term, earning of admirers.

Just 19, the Senegalese striker clearly has a bright future in the game and he [scored in the Europa League clash](https://www.sofascore.com/player/abdallah-sima/1029018)which saw Slavia eliminate Premier League side Leicester City last week.

Here’s a pick of the West Ham fans reactions to the straight taking chief…
