# West Ham Predicted XI: Manchester City (A)

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/26/david-moyes-rules-himself-out-of-celtic-managerial-contention/) face perhaps their most difficult test of the season this afternoon when they head to the Etihad Stadium to take on an all-conquering Manchester City side.

The Hammers have been enjoying their own fine run of form but will be warranted underdogs for this clash as they take on a team [looking for their 20th consecutive win](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/guardiola-critics-mancity-spending-ffp-19910566) in all competitions.

City can go further clear at the top of the [Premier League table](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) with a victory whilst West Ham will be looking to spring a surprise and further enhance their European hopes.

The last meeting between the two teams ended as a [1-1 draw at the London Stadium](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54580514)when an early [Michail Antonio](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/26/michail-antonio-to-represent-jamaica-in-2022-world-cup-bid/) goal gave the Hammers the lead.

David Moyes was in a positive mood during his [Michail Antonio](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/26/michail-antonio-to-represent-jamaica-in-2022-world-cup-bid/) and ensured Irons fans that he wasn’t for leaving [amid suggestions](https://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport/football/sunderland-afc/the-five-former-sunderland-bosses-linked-with-vacant-celtic-job-following-neil-lennons-departure-3145144) that the Scotsman could be in contention for the vacant Celtic job.

Moyes also confirmed that [Ryan Fredericks is a doubt](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2021/february/26-february/team-news-moyes-offers-masuaku-yarmolenko-fredericks-update) for the trip whilst Arthur Masuaku and Andriy Yarmolenko remain sidelined.

Here’s how we think the Irons will lineup today, with two changes in personnel along with a tactical tweak from [last Sunday’s win over Tottenham](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3429741)…
