# West Ham fans react as David Moyes dismisses Celtic speculation

Many [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/26/report-burnley-will-demand-50m-for-west-ham-target-nick-pope/) fans have reacted gleefully to comments from [David Moyes](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/26/david-moyes-rules-himself-out-of-celtic-managerial-contention/) distancing himself from links with the vacant managerial position at [Celtic](https://readceltic.com/2021/02/26/celtic-fans-sporting-director-shortlist-webb-harkin-tognozzi/).

As noted by [@WestHamViews\_](https://twitter.com/WestHamViews_/status/1365242802486050816) on Twitter, the Scotsman [ruled himself out of the running](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/west-ham-david-moyes-celtic-b921339.html) for the Parkhead gig during his press conference this morning and reaffirmed his commitment to the job at hand at the London Stadium.

Moyes has been doing a superb job during his second stint at the helm with the Irons and has [taken the club to the brink](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) of European qualification this season.

This week, the [Sunderland Echo](https://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport/football/sunderland-afc/the-five-former-sunderland-bosses-linked-with-vacant-celtic-job-following-neil-lennons-departure-3145144) had cited him as one of the names linked with the vacant manager’s job at Celtic in the wake of Neil Lennon’s resignation.

As a result of his success at the London Stadium, many West Ham fans are overjoyed that their “star” manager has insisted he will be staying put.

Here’s a pick of the reactions from relieved Hammers fans on Twitter…
