# Sevilla ‘draw up plan’ for West Ham target Youssef En-Nesyri

Sevilla are planning for a future with [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/24/west-ham-keeping-tabs-on-connor-goldson/) target [Youssef En-Nesyri](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/23/sevilla-to-offer-west-ham-target-youssef-en-nesyri-new-contract/)at the forefront of it, according to the latest report from Spanish publication [Estadio Deportivo](https://www.estadiodeportivo.com/sevilla/2021/02/23/sevilla-fc-traza-plan-futuro/322160.html).

The [Europa League holders](https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/news/0260-102fc36c1cf2-d36b3df55d5d-1000/) are expecting ‘no shortage of offers’ for the 23-year-old’s services in the summer, but they reportedly have no desire to sell him.

Having had a [bid for En-Nesyri rejected](https://theathletic.co.uk/2331714/2021/01/20/west-ham-youssef-en-nesyri/) in January the Hammers may hold out hope of landing one of their prime targets in the summer as [Sevilla aim to balance their books](https://www.sportskeeda.com/football/news-liverpool-consider-move-sevilla-star-lucas-ocampos-summer-reports#:~:text=Sevilla%20are%20reportedly%20ready%20to,due%20to%20the%20coronavirus%20pandemic.&text=Lucas%20Ocampos%20joined%20Sevilla%20from,2019%20for%20an%20undisclosed%20fee.).

As outlined by [Estadio Deportivo](https://www.estadiodeportivo.com/sevilla/2021/02/23/sevilla-fc-traza-plan-futuro/322160.html), ‘on the contrary’ to exit rumours, Sevilla director of football Monchi and manager Julen Lopetegui both want the striker to be the ‘benchmark’ of the club’s attack.

[The same publication had previously claimed](https://www.estadiodeportivo.com/sevilla/2021/02/23/antiguos-companeros-llamaron-nesyri-fichara/322258.html) that a former teammate of the [13-goal](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/youssef-en-nesyri/leistungsdaten/spieler/433049) striker had tried to persuade him to join West Ham, leading to the conclusion that Pablo Fornals was the man in question as the pair were [together at Malaga](https://www.malagacf.com/en/home/news/943).

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

This En-Neysri deal gets more difficult by the day.

Whilst it’s no surprise that the La Liga side would want to keep hold of their [prized asset](https://www.transfermarkt.com.mt/sevilla-fc/kader/verein/368) and look to build an attack around him, this could leave the Irons a little in the lurch.

Given the growing complications and ever-increasing fee, a move for [Championship hotshots Ivan Toney or Adam Armstrong](https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/blackburn-west-ham-transfers-armstrong-19815235) may be a far more straightforward option.
