# Many West Ham fans implore Jesse Lingard’s permanent signing

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/19/youssef-en-nesyri-summer-transfer-hint-west-ham/) will attempt to sign on loan attacking midfielder [Jesse Lingard](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/18/journalist-says-west-ham-will-try-to-sign-jesse-lingard-permanently/) on a permanent basis according to transfer insider [Dean Jones](https://twitter.com/DeanJonesBR) on a recent [Touchline Talk Podcast](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fP6T73s3iiE) and Hammers fans have got behind the notion.

Having[arrived with scepticism](https://www.teamtalk.com/news/pundit-lingard-signing-west-ham-mistakes)having not played for so long, Lingard has been nothing short of a revelation since joining on deadline day and his [debut brace against Aston Villa](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12207768/aston-villa-1-3-west-ham-jesse-lingard-makes-dream-debut-scoring-twice-as-david-moyes-men-win-at-villa-park) instantly endeared the 28-year-old to the Irons faithful.

Since those debut exploits, Lingard has [influenced David Moyes’ side](https://www.sofascore.com/player/jesse-lingard/205508) with his well-timed runs into the penalty area, one of which [won the penalty](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2021/february/16-february/extended-highlights-west-ham-united-3-0-sheffield-united) for the opening goal against Sheffield United.

Currently on [loan until the end of the season](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2021/january/29-january/west-ham-united-sign-england-international-jesse-lingard-loan), a host of West Ham supporters have pleaded with the club to sign the[former England man](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49921214) permanently on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/westhamtransfer/status/1362413635537109000?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1362413713639297025%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es2_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.hammers.news%2Ftransfer-news%2Fwest-ham-fans-react-on-twitter-to-journalists-jesse-lingard-claim%2F).
