# West Ham fans heap praise on Aaron Cresswell

Many [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/17/west-ham-fans-cautious-michail-antonio-start-return-spurs/) fans have taken the opportunity to praise [Aaron Cresswell](https://readwestham.com/2020/12/08/paul-robinson-claims-west-ham-seeking-aaron-cresswell-successor/)after the [club’s official Twitter channel](https://twitter.com/WestHam/status/1362039096168751109) boasted about the full-back’s match statistics from the victory over Sheffield United this week.

The 31-year-old left-back was inspirational as the Hammers [ran out 3-0 winners](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2021/february/16-february/extended-highlights-west-ham-united-3-0-sheffield-united) on Monday, [setting up the second goal](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aaron-cresswell/leistungsdaten/spieler/92571) on the night and helping David Moyes’ men keep a clean sheet.

Never the type to shy away from praising an [Iron’s fine displays](https://www.sofascore.com/player/aaron-cresswell/43443), a plethora of happy Hammers responded to the graphic and poured love on the [Liverpool-born defender](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aaron-cresswell/profil/spieler/92571), who one fan hailed as their “player of the season so far” – not a wholly outlandish claim given [his performances since the start of the campaign](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/29/Show/England-West-Ham)…
