# West Ham fans buzzing as Arthur Masuaku teases his return

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/12/west-ham-lose-out-nathan-young-coombes-transfer-news/) utility man [Arthur Masuaku](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/05/west-ham-fans-welcome-positive-arthur-masuaku-injury-update/) has excited many Hammers fans with a post on social media reacting to the news that [he is back jogging](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2021/february/05-february/david-moyes-lingard-soucek-masuaku-fulham-consistency-and) ahead of a return from a knee operation.

The 27-year-old has been out of contention since before Christmas, [when he underwent surgery](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55290430#:~:text=West%20Ham%20defender%20Arthur%20Masuaku,me%20for%20nearly%20two%20years%22.&text=After%20the%20game%2C%20manager%20David,surgery%20on%20his%20right%20knee.) to fix a long-standing knee problem. However, on Friday [David Moyes confirmed](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2021/february/12-february/live-david-moyes-pre-sheffield-united-press-conference) that the player could be available for selection in a month’s time.

Masuaku, who had played[10 Premier League games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arthur-masuaku/leistungsdaten/spieler/181380) prior to his layoff, [replied](https://twitter.com/ArthurMasuaku/status/1360223836894072835) to the [club’s official Twitter update](https://twitter.com/WestHam/status/1357658283557990401) suggesting that he is progressing well.
