# West Ham fans get behind Jarrod Bowen after recent performances

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/12/west-ham-lose-out-nathan-young-coombes-transfer-news/) winger [Jarrod Bowen](https://readwestham.com/2021/01/22/alex-mcleish-hails-class-jarrod-bowen-signing-west-ham/) has received backing from many of the Irons faithful after a slight dip in performances recently.

Without a goal in [four Premier League matches](https://www.footballcritic.com/jarrod-bowen/profile/132067), the 24-year-old winger may be feeling the cost of the additional burden recently as the Hammers scour for goal scoring options.

The [industrious wide man](https://totalfootballanalysis.com/player-analysis/jarrod-bowen-player-analysis-hull-city-statistics) has a season-long average match rating of 6.9 with [Sofascore](https://www.sofascore.com/player/jarrod-bowen/552884), although dips below that number in his last two league outings strongly hint at a recent minor slump.

Remarkably, out of his 23 league outings this season – during which Bowen has managed [five goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/leistungsdaten/spieler/314875) – he has only [completed 90 minutes](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/314875/saison/2020/wettbewerb/GB1/verein/379) on four occasions under David Moyes in 2020/21.

However, responding to a post on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/willlebeau18/status/1359948833686511632) pondering the former Hull City man’s form, many Irons supporters have leapt to Bowen’s defence, with one believing that the 24-year-old is very much a “confidence player”…
