# West Ham Player Ratings: Manchester United (A)

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/10/west-ham-target-thomas-strakosha-open-to-new-challenges/) were eliminated at the fifth round stage of the [FA Cup](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/09/west-ham-fans-dismiss-darren-bent-fa-cup-claim/) at the [hands of Manchester United](https://www.skysports.com/football/man-utd-vs-west-ham/live/441178) on Tuesday night after an extra time winner from Scott McTominay.

On a night when the Hammers were [without Michail Antonio](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3517364), David Moyes’ side lost Angelo Ogbonna early on to an [ankle injury](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/west-ham-angelo-ogbonna-injury-worry-b919196.html) after the Italian centre-back helped block an Anthony Martial shot.

Moyes made two more changes at the break, including replacing [Issa Diop](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/02/liverpool-enquired-for-issa-diop-transfer-interest-rebuffed/), who had earlier came on for Ogbonna. The French defender was involved in a [clash of heads](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12213759/issa-diop-west-ham-defender-becomes-first-concussion-substitution-in-english-football) and was believed to be suffering at the break.

In a game without clear-cut chances, Craig Dawson perhaps had the [clearest sight of goal](https://www.theguardian.com/football/live/2021/feb/09/manchester-united-v-west-ham-fa-cup-fifth-round-live) late on. The 30-year-old found space from a corner but his header was weak and easily repelled by the hosts.
