# Some West Ham fans put their faith in youngster Ademipo Odubeko

Many [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/01/jason-burt-claims-west-ham-offered-the-chance-to-sign-diego-costa/) fans were left cursing the end of the transfer window as the Hammers failed to replace [Sebastien Haller](https://readwestham.com/2021/01/19/david-moyes-strong-chance-of-no-new-signings-january-transfers/) despite [extensive links with a plethora of strikers](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/west-ham-transfer-news-david-moyes-striker-b918102.html) throughout January.

Having looked forward to throwing their weight behind a new exciting centre-forward, some the Irons faithful are instead pinning their hopes on teenager [Ademipo Odubeko](https://readwestham.com/2019/10/26/west-ham-sign-former-man-utd-starlet-mipo-odubeko/).

The former Manchester United starlet [joined the Hammers back in 2019](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2019/october/25-october/west-ham-united-sign-prolific-striker-mipo-odubeko)and has excelled in the youth ranks as well as [impressing in his brief cup outings](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ademipo-odubeko/leistungsdaten/spieler/655880) this season.

Now, the [Republic of Ireland under-17 international](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ademipo-odubeko/nationalmannschaft/spieler/655880/verein_id/23132) could be called upon to play understudy to Michail Antonio as the next recognised striker in line.

These Irons fans have backed the 18-year-old to make the most of his opportunity whenever it comes…
