# West Ham fans fume as Alex Crook suggests business is complete

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/02/01/west-ham-fans-show-their-admiration-for-winston-reid/) fans have voiced their displeasure on social media as journalist [Alex Crook](https://twitter.com/alex_crook/status/1356221048543436801)suggests that the Hammers’ business in this transfer window is complete.

> Twitter: Had a few people messaging about #WHUFC bringing in a striker. Indication I’ve been given is their transfer window… https://t.co/5DG0fLIGW8 (@alex\_crook)

There had been an expectancy that a striker would arrive before the deadline day after the[departure of Sebastien Haller](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/jan/08/west-ham-sell-sebastien-haller-to-ajax-at-25m-loss) to Ajax, despite [David Moyes remaining coy](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/west-ham-transfer-news-david-moyes-striker-b918102.html)on deals.

However, with time running out there has been [no sign of an imminent frontman arrival](https://www.theguardian.com/football/live/2021/feb/01/transfer-deadline-day-winter-2021-football-premier-league-ramos-davies-alli-liverpool-tottenham-more-live) at the London Stadium and the Irons faithful are not pleased.

Should the Hammers fail to sign a striker before the deadline, Moyes would be left with [Michail Antonio](https://readwestham.com/2021/01/29/west-ham-fashion-sakala-transfer-interest-cover-antonio/) as the[only recognised striker,](https://www.whufc.com/teams/first-team/squad) a perilous position given his frail injury record.

We’ve compiled a pick of the angry reactions…

> Twitter: @alex\_crook Absolute joke, Antonio only fit striker and his very injury prone! Naive to think he will last the seas… https://t.co/QoNfvMCIet (@FPL\_Cockney)

> Twitter: @alex\_crook 12th spot here we come!! (@witternewbie)

> Twitter: @alex\_crook Has to bring one in. Needed (@thedaddy222)

> Twitter: @alex\_crook Joke (@WestHam\_SW)

> Twitter: Same old West Ham\
> https://t.co/2jpXT2n3o2 (@Dyer1Adam)

> Twitter: Selling Haller and not bringing in a replacement is absolutely criminal https://t.co/L0feZcF5lz (@JoshuawLSBU)
