# West Ham fans excited over links with Odsonne Edouard

Many [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/01/23/craig-dawson-career-quiz-west-ham-fa-cup/) fans have been reacting to a report over the weekend from the [Daily Star](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/west-ham-transfer-news-edouard-23373957) linking the Hammers with a £35m move for prolific Celtic marksman [Odsonne Edouard](https://readceltic.com/2021/01/22/celtic-could-earn-minimal-profit-on-odsonne-edouard/).

The report claimed that [David Moyes](https://readwestham.com/2021/01/19/david-moyes-strong-chance-of-no-new-signings-january-transfers/) will attempt to bring Edouard to the London Stadium before the end of the transfer window as he seeks to find a [replacement for Sebastien Haller](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/jan/08/west-ham-sell-sebastien-haller-to-ajax-at-25m-loss#:~:text=West%20Ham%20will%20seek%20to,the%20end%20of%20the%20season.).

However, West Ham and Moyes are unlikely to have things all their own way should they make their interest in the 23-year-old known, as fellow London clubs Tottenham and Arsenal are also both keen on the striker.

The France under-21 international has been a revelation north of the border since [his switch from French giants Paris Saint-Germain](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11787/11405737/odsonne-edouard-signs-four-year-deal-with-celtic) in the 2017/18 season. In that time, Edouard has managed [72 goals and 35 assists in 151](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/odsonne-edouard/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/344152) Celtic appearances.

Those numbers should be enough to entice any Hammer into thinking Edouard would be money well spent.
