# West Ham fans laud Michail Antonio’s powerful solo run

Not only has [Michail Antonio](https://readwestham.com/2021/01/12/fans-praise-michail-antonio-comments-stockport-fa-cup/) received iconic status for so often being [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/01/20/west-ham-interested-in-mikel-oyarzabal-transfer-rumours/)‘s match-winner, but the powerful striker has also been earning praise for his unstoppable power.

During the [2-1 victory](https://www.skysports.com/football/west-ham-vs-w-brom/report/429013) over West Brom on Tuesday night, with Antonio grabbing the winner, the 30-year-old took it upon himself to take the attack to the visitors as he went on a run from his own half.

In the solo endeavour, the [forward’s pace and strength](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2017/september/22-september/antonios-pace-real-threat-clive-allen-looks-west-ham) saw Matheus Pereira in particular feeling the force as the Baggies either fell away or fell off him before the Hammers forward eventually won a free-kick for his efforts.

It’s perhaps no surprise to any hardened Antonio fan to see such swashbuckling ventures – having been [converted numerous times](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2018/december/07-december/versatile-antonio-wins-pellegrini-praise) from differing positions, the versatile ace has [numerous facets](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/69517/Show/Michail-Antonio) to his all-round game.

Plenty of the Irons faithful have reacted to the clip reposted [on Twitter](https://twitter.com/btsportfootball/status/1351620846318706689) and were left in awe of their talismanic frontman, who one fan hailed as a ‘monster’ for his powerful efforts…
