# Fans excited by Arkadiusz Milik transfer rumours

[Arkadiusz Milik](https://readwestham.com/2021/01/13/west-ham-have-chance-to-sign-arkadiusz-milik/) is the leading contender to replace Sebastien Haller at the London Stadium, if [reports from Italian journalist Ciro Venerato](https://www.spazionapoli.it/2021/01/12/calciomercato-napoli-venerato-kkn/) are to be believed, and many [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/01/13/west-ham-set-to-miss-out-on-moises-caicedo/) fans are fully endorsing a move for the “unbelievable” Napoli man.

The 26-year-old is being targeted by the Hammers as well as [Juventus and Marseille](https://onefootball.com/en/news/west-ham-battling-marseille-for-napoli-striker-milik-32151407), but it’s the east Londoners who have the most urgent need for the Polish forward following [Haller’s recent departure](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/jan/08/west-ham-sell-sebastien-haller-to-ajax-at-25m-loss).

With his contract [expiring in the summer](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arkadiusz-milik/profil/spieler/191891) and the Serie A club looking to take the last opportunity to land a fee for the [56-cap international,](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arkadiusz-milik/nationalmannschaft/spieler/191891/verein_id/3442) West Ham could be in line to land a striker with [109 senior career club goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arkadiusz-milik/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/191891)for a snip of what they might be expected to pay in other circumstances.

Unsurprisingly, given some of the [other names being linked](https://www.football365.com/news/west-ham-target-former-southampton-striker-graziano-pelle-joshua-king) with the Irons this month, many of the east London faithful have gotten behind a move for Milik in a big way…
