# West Ham considering termination of Felipe Anderson’s loan move

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/01/05/paul-robinson-surprised-at-lukasz-fabianskis-contract-situation/) are considering the possibility of recalling [Felipe Anderson](https://readwestham.com/2020/12/08/claret-and-hugh-claims-haller-anderson-could-be-sold/) from his loan spell at FC Porto before sending him elsewhere, according to a report from [The Guardian](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/jan/04/west-ham-felipe-anderson-end-loan-spell-porto).

Anderson’s loan at Porto just hasn’t worked out for the Brazilian winger as the 27-year-old has made just [five appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/felipe-anderson/leistungsdaten/spieler/159372) since [joining in October](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/12091364/felipe-anderson-porto-sign-west-ham-midfielder-on-season-long-loan). Those five games are [yet to produce a full 90 minutes of action](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/felipe-anderson/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/159372/verein/720) as Anderson struggles to find his form in Portugal.

The Hammers sent Anderson out on loan in the hope that the [£22.5m-valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/felipe-anderson/marktwertverlauf/spieler/159372) winger could regain his form and confidence in order to either return to the London Stadium or increase his value ahead of a summer sale.

With the Brazilian currently out of Porto’s [matchday squad](https://www.flashscore.com/match/WEmTJV2l/#lineups;1), the loan move is currently looking a pointless exercise for all involved and the Irons could be set to cancel the deal this month in order to find another solution for him.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

One thing seems certain – David Moyes won’t be keen on reintegrating the [one-time Brazil international](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/felipe-anderson/nationalmannschaft/spieler/159372/verein_id/3439) back into his settled squad.

In truth, there simply isn’t much scope for Anderson forcing his way back into Moyes’ plans – after all, the winger [was cast out on loan](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8646121/West-Hams-Felipe-Anderson-leave-amid-fears-sidelined-David-Moyes.html) for a reason.

With Pablo Fornals and Jarrod Bowen [performing admirably](https://www.whoscored.com/PlayerComparison) both in an attacking and defensive sense, the Hammers seemingly have no room for the former Lazio man right now.
