# West Ham fans unconvinced by Mamadou Sakho loan rumours

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/01/01/west-ham-fans-in-despair-as-links-with-graziano-pelle-emerge/) have been linked with a loan move for Crystal Palace defender [Mamadou Sakho](https://readwestham.com/2021/01/04/west-ham-want-mamadou-sakho-on-loan/), according to [The Sun on Sunday (January 3rd, page 57)](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/) \[via [The Boot Room](https://tbrfootball.com/report-west-brom-eye-mamadou-sakho-talks-west-ham-also-keen/)\].

The 30-year-old Frenchman has found himself out of favour at Selhurst Park, making just [four Premier League appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mamadou-sakho/leistungsdaten/spieler/47713) this season.

David Moyes seems to be keen on further strengthening his defensive ranks despite securing the [services of Craig Dawson](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/october/12-october/west-ham-united-add-experienced-defender-craig-dawson) for the duration of the season on loan from Watford.

Dawson had been relatively unseen since arriving at the London Stadium up until last week, when the experienced centre-half made [back-to-back starts](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/craig-dawson/leistungsdaten/spieler/121477) for the Irons.

Despite Moyes’ continued pursuit of defensive reinforcements, many West Ham supporters weren’t enthused by the club’s links with Sakho, a veteran of [364 club career games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mamadou-sakho/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/47713), [128 of which](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mamadou-sakho/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/47713/wettbewerb/GB1) have been in the Premier League.

Here’s the pick of the reactions from doubtful Irons fans…
