West Ham will kickstart their own and the Premier League football for 2021 when they travel to Goodison Park to face Everton this evening.
Up to just a few days ago, the Hammers would have been facing the prospect of being welcomed by 2,000 Toffees in situ on Merseyside, however, a recent tier change means the famous old ground will be empty for this clash.
After making a strong start to the 2020/21 campaign, David Moyes’ side stuttered their way to the end of the calendar year and will be hoping to get back to winning ways, albeit a tough prospect against high-flying Everton.
The two sides last met this season in the Carabao Cup when a weakened Moyes side were humbled 4-1.
Last seasons league clashes saw the Hammers pick up just one point from the Blues back in January, leaving the Irons without a win against Moyes’ former employers in four outings.
