# Predicted West Ham XI: Brighton (H)

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2020/12/23/kevin-campbell-backs-borna-barisic-west-ham-rumours/) welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to the London Stadium this afternoon for their traditional Christmas fixture.

The Hammers will be looking to get back to winning ways after their disappointing [3-0 defeat across London](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/december/22-december/highlights-chelsea-3-0-west-ham-united) at the hands of Chelsea last Monday.

David Moyes’ side have enjoyed a positive end to what has been a challenging year for so many reasons, with the Irons managing to [narrowly avoid relegation](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league-relegation-2020-bournemouth-aston-villa-watford-latest-a4504731.html) last term before setting their sights [higher up the table](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) during this campaign.

Today’s opponents Brighton are going through [something of a slump](https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/brighton-and-hove-albion/form-guide) as Graham Potter’s men fail to turn [improved, more aesthetically pleasing performances](https://www.newsbreak.com/news/2094117491761/brighton-results-not-matching-performances-potter) into points.

Moyes was coy over the possibility of having talismanic striker Michail Antonio back for this one during his [pre-match press conference](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/december/22-december/team-news-moyes-gives-michail-antonio-update), although he could confirm that the 30-year-old was back training on grass.

Apart from Antonio, Manuel Lanzini and Arthur Masuaku, Moyes has a full strength squad from which to choose ([Premier Injuries](https://www.premierinjuries.com/injury-table.php)).

We predict one change from the team which [started against Chelsea](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3421805) last week, with the [creative presence](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/said-benrahma/leistungsdaten/spieler/290532) of Said Benrahma possibly coming back in as the Irons seek a home win over [struggling opponents](https://www.premierleague.com/tables):
