# West Ham Could Revisit Deal for Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic

West Ham could be in line to recruit [Nikola Milenkovic](https://readwestham.com/2020/11/03/nikola-milenkovic-refuses-fiorentina-contract-offer/) in January, having previously agreed personal terms before the defender’s parent club Fiorentina blocked a move.

The Serbian saw an initial €25m (£22.79m) bid from the Irons [rejected by the Italian club](https://sportwitness.co.uk/player-said-yes-signing-west-ham-following-e25m-bonuses-offer-hammers/) despite him being given the green light to move to the London Stadium, having agreed personal terms with the Hammers.

However, the latest reports from [Calciomercato](https://www.calciomercato.it/2020/12/21/calciomercato-fiorentina-milenkovic-west-ham-inter-milan-juventus/) (via [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/player-said-yes-signing-west-ham-following-e25m-bonuses-offer-hammers/)) have indicated a willingness to revisit the deal. The original source claimed that the initial fee and a bonus package was rejected by the club, but Fiorentina are set to change their tune.

It is claimed that *La Viola* would now accept the original package of €25m (£22.79m) plus add-ons. He is valued at £25m by [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nikola-milenkovic/profil/spieler/413507).

Previous reports have indicated that Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur ‘are both in touch with the player’s agent’ with a view towards a future move.

Further complicating a move by the Hammers, Serie A trio AC Milan, Inter and Juventus ‘still highly \[appreciate\]’ Milenkovic and his defensive talents. The defender’s contract [expires in the summer of 2022.](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nikola-milenkovic/profil/spieler/413507)

At just 23 years of age, the Serbian has already garnered a wealth of top-level experience, having featured in Serie A [100 times](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nikola-milenkovic/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/413507/wettbewerb/IT1/verein/430) in his career.

In that view, he seems to be a seasoned professional who could be the ideal long-term replacement for the likes of Fabian Balbuena and Angelo Ogbonna.
