# Tomas Soucek endorses reported West Ham target Abdallah Sima

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2020/12/16/quiz-name-the-west-ham-scorers-from-previous-crystal-palace-games/) midfielder [Tomas Soucek](https://readwestham.com/2020/12/15/tomas-soucek-dismisses-bayern-munich-links/) has backed the club to raid his former employers Slavia Prague once again, this time for a striker.

The 25-year-old has been a [revelation](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tomas-soucek/leistungsdaten/spieler/283628) since [arriving on loan](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/january/29-january/west-ham-united-complete-loan-signing-czech-midfielder-tomas) from the Czech outfit in January – a move which was [made permanent](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/july/24-july/west-ham-united-complete-eu21m-permanent-tomas-soucek-transfer) during the summer.

The Czech Republic international has proven a hit with the scouting team already as the combative central midfielder [backed the arrival](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/october/02-october/tomas-soucek-west-ham-fans-will-love-vladimir-coufal) of compatriot Vladimir Coufal from Slavia Prague.

Speaking to [CT Sport](https://sport.ceskatelevize.cz/clanek/fotbal/ze-simy-jsem-nadsenej-mohl-by-prijit-do-west-hamu-rika-soucek-zajem-bayernu-pry-neresi/5fd7eba23d136f1e23e22452), [Irons stalwart](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tomas-soucek/leistungsdaten/spieler/283628) Soucek has backed the club to make a move for teenage Slavia forward Abdallah Sima, saying: ”From what I see, I have to say, I’m excited about him. His goals are very much similar to what I’ve been scoring. I’m glad that such a player was found, but it’s not just about that. He shows one-on-one qualities, finishing, just a typical winger.”

Soucek [added](https://sport.ceskatelevize.cz/clanek/fotbal/ze-simy-jsem-nadsenej-mohl-by-prijit-do-west-hamu-rika-soucek-zajem-bayernu-pry-neresi/5fd7eba23d136f1e23e22452) that people at West Ham ‘know about him’ and tipped the Senegalese 19-year-old for big things.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

With 13 goals in 18 games this season ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/abdallah-sima/leistungsdaten/spieler/776798)), Sima is an exciting prospect who looks to have a bright future ahead of him.

Given West Ham’s recent [track record of successful signings](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/vladimir-coufal/leistungsdaten/spieler/157672) from Slavia Prague, this is a deal which should at least considered by the club, especially with the Soucek seal of approval.
