# West Ham Eye Up Shock Christian Eriksen Move

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2020/12/08/paul-robinson-claims-west-ham-seeking-aaron-cresswell-successor/)have been named as surprise suitors to sign [Christian Eriksen](https://readarsenal.com/2020/11/27/arsenal-could-sign-christian-eriksen-for-12m/) from Inter Milan in the January transfer window, according to [Eurosport](https://www.eurosport.co.uk/football/transfers/2020-2021/west-ham-target-christian-eriksen-anthony-martial-could-leave-man-utd-newcastle-want-phil-jones_sto8023381/story.shtml).

The former Tottenham attacking midfielder is believed to be [free to leave when the transfer window opens](https://www.goal.com/en/news/eriksen-can-leave-in-january-inter-ceo-marotta-confirms/1vxh4kuiv9jjq1stb4x9tm1j3f) next month and the Hammers could be among the interested parties.

The Danish international [asked to leave the Serie A club](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8975333/Inter-Milan-confirm-Christian-Eriksen-asked-leave-Inter-Milan-leave-club-soon.html), where he has struggled to have the desired impact since [his move from Spurs](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11860/11919386/christian-eriksen-inter-milan-sign-tottenham-midfielder-on-permanent-deal) earlier this year. The 28-year-old has appeared [10 times in all competitions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-eriksen/leistungsdaten/spieler/69633) this season but is yet to contribute either a goal or an assist.

Described during his time at Tottenham by his teammate Eric Dier as [‘a fantastic player with so much quality’](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/eric-dier-relishing-christian-eriksen-22644207), Eriksen would offer added creativity to almost any side in world football. He also has an impressive record in the Premier League, with [51 goals and 66 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-eriksen/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/69633/wettbewerb/GB1/verein/148) in the division during his time with Spurs.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

[David Moyes](https://readwestham.com/2020/12/05/readwestham-com-2020-12-04-moyes-counting-on-haller-united-clash/) would surely jump at the chance to have a player like Eriksen in his squad at the London Stadium.

A proven Premier League performer who during his time in England [created more chances than anybody else](https://www.squawka.com/en/christian-eriksen-spurs-career-dominance-premier-league/), Eriksen has the touch of class needed to break down opposition defences almost at will.

Should the price be right – [he has a market value of £45m](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-eriksen/marktwertverlauf/spieler/69633) – if there is any truth in the interest and the Danish playmaker is interested in returning to London, Moyes should be doing everything in his power to make this move happen.
