# West Ham Fans Revel In On-Loan Youngster Xande Silva’s Strike

Many [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2020/12/03/mark-noble-could-leave-west-ham-at-end-of-season/) fans have reacted to [footage of a stunning solo goal](https://twitter.com/avids_p/status/1334192509040402443) scored by Hammers youngster [Xande Silva](https://readwestham.com/2020/03/17/hammers-fans-want-to-see-xande-silva-in-the-first-team/) whilst out on loan for Greek side Aris Saloniki.

The 23-year-old grabbed his first goal for the club and it was a remarkable way to get off the mark. In his third game for his [new club](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/october/05-october/xande-silva-joins-aris-thessaloniki-fc-season-long-loan), Portuguese winger helped his side to second in the table when he rounded off the scoring in the closing stages of a [3-0 victory over AE Larisa](https://www.sofascore.com/ae-larisa-aris-thessaloniki/cpbsppb).

The [Hammers signed Silva](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11457806/west-ham-sign-xande-silva-from-vitoria-de-guimaraes) from Vitoria de Guimarães in 2018 having represented Portugal at every junior level – although [most of his appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/xande-silva/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/258011) in claret and blue have come in the Irons’ under-23 ranks and [David Moyes](https://readwestham.com/2020/12/03/roshane-thomas-david-moyes-transfer-plans-january-summer/) clearly felt more development was needed.

Here’s how these Hammers fans reacted to their lesser-seen youngster’s magnificent strike…
