# West Ham Fans Revel In Adam Armstrong Links

According to [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2020/11/26/frank-lampard-hints-at-olivier-giroud-stay-chelsea/) insider ExWHUemployee, David Moyes is believed to be casting an eye over Blackburn Rovers striker [Adam Armstrong](https://readwestham.com/2020/11/27/west-ham-keeping-tabs-on-adam-armstrong/)as a potential option for a January transfer.

Armstrong has made a sublime start to this season, with [12 goals in as many Championship games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adam-armstrong/leistungsdaten/spieler/250426), leading to [plenty of attention from a host of Premier League clubs](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/adam-armstrong-newcastle-blackburn-transfer-17757648) – including the Hammers, who will almost certainly be in the market for a striker when the window reopens.

ExWHUemployee told his [West Ham Way](https://www.patreon.com/thewesthamway) podcast that the former Newcastle United striker was ‘someone we like’ as the rumour mill starts to get into full swing.

Whilst the 23-year-old may have been [priced out of a move](https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/transfer-news/blackburn-rovers-armstrong-waggott-newcastle-19304432) to most clubs in the summer as Blackburn demand £30m, these Irons fans aren’t going to let that stop them getting carried away. Indeed, one referred to him as ‘the English Werner’ in a reference to the [£45m Chelsea striker](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/12009479/timo-werner-chelsea-complete-signing-of-rb-leipzig-forward) who has hit [eight goals in 14 games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/timo-werner/leistungsdaten/spieler/170527) so far for the Blues.
