# Fans React As Manuel Lanzini Wins Premier League Goal Of The Month

West Ham midfielder [Manuel Lanzini](https://readwestham.com/2020/06/25/manuel-lanzini-targeted-by-liverpool-again/) has won the [Premier League’s Budweiser Goal of the Month](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/november/13-november/manuel-lanzini-wins-budweiser-premier-league-goal-month) award for October.

Unsurprisingly it was the Argentine’s equaliser in the final moments at Tottenham last month which earned him the accolade. Appearing as a substitute, Lanzini’s wonder-strike [whistled into the top right-hand corner](https://twitter.com/WestHam/status/1327234763715973120) from more than 20 yards out with just seconds remaining to spark joyous celebrations among Irons players and staff alike.

Not only was the goal spectacular in itself, the [completion of a dramatic comeback](https://www.skysports.com/football/tottenham-vs-west-ham/428885) having been 3-0 down with ten minutes to play at a London rival made the strike all the more extraordinary.

Lanzini’s goal fended off competition from teammate Michail Antonio, who was nominated for his [acrobatic opener against Manchester City](https://talksport.com/football/778564/west-ham-michail-antonio-man-city-overhead-kick-tottenham-glenn-hoddle/) as well as a host of other candidates from around the Premier League.

Here’s how some West Ham fans reacted to the news…

> Thank you for putting a smile on all of our faces that night [@manulanzini](https://twitter.com/manulanzini?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) what a great moment that was. I must've watched that strike about 30 times the next day! Hahaha congratulations Manu 👏 💎 ⚒⚒⚒
