# West Ham Target M’Bala Nzola Not Ready For Move To Premier League, Claims Agent

Spezia striker M’Bala Nzola has been [linked with a move to the Premier League](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/en/spezia-3-pl-clubs-after-nzola-1456526), with West Ham believed to be interested.

Fellow English top-flight clubs Newcastle United and Wolves have also [been credited with a desire to sign](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/en/spezia-3-pl-clubs-after-nzola-1456526) the 24-year-old, but, his agent believes the time is not right to make the jump.

As reported by [Tuttomercatoweb](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/en/spezia-3-pl-clubs-after-nzola-1456526), the player’s representative Didier Pingsi has said: ”M’Bala (Nzola) must now consolidate his experience in Serie A. Then he’ll be ready for the five most important European championships: England, France, Spain, Germany and precisely Italy.”

Valued by [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mbala-nzola/marktwertverlauf/spieler/354814) at just £810,000, Nzola has made a bright start to the 2020/21 campaign, [scoring twice and providing one assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mbala-nzola/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/354814/plus/0?saison=2020&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=) in his opening four games.

Promoted to the Italian top tier for the [first time in their history](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/italian-serie-a/story/4163914/spezia-win-first-ever-serie-a-promotion-despite-loss-to-frosinone), Spezia have made a [steady start](https://www.skysports.com/serie-a-table) to the new season, and their coach Vincenzo Italiano [praised his French forward](https://www.football-italia.net/161710/italiano-spezia-not-whipping-boys) this week by saying that “he’s very important for us”.

Capable of playing [anywhere across the front line](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mbala-nzola/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/354814), Nzola was an instrumental part of the promotion, chipping in with [eight goals last season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mbala-nzola/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/354814), including one in the play-offs.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

David Moyes is definitely short on [centre-forwards in his squad](https://www.whufc.com/teams/first-team/squad), with only Michail Antonio and Sebastien Haller as senior options in that role.

Antonio has a [worrying injury record](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/michail-antonio/verletzungen/spieler/104124) and is current sidelined, while Haller has [struggled to recapture the form](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sebastien-haller/leistungsdaten/spieler/181375/plus/0?saison=ges) which earned him his [£45m move](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/jul/17/west-ham-sebastien-haller-club-record-fee) to east London in the first place.

The centre-forward department is almost certainly an area Moyes should look to address, perhaps as soon as January. However, this latest update may put the Hammers off a move for Nzola and turn their attention elsewhere, perhaps [back to Bournemouth’s Josh King](https://talksport.com/football/771026/west-ham-talks-josh-king-agent-bid-bournemouth/).
