# West Ham New Boy Said Benrahma Says ‘I Didn’t Fail Medical’

West Ham’s newest arrival Said Benrahma has put to bed [rumours](https://talksport.com/football/774575/said-benrahma-to-west-ham-transfer-failed-medical/) he failed part of his medical during his deadline day switch to the London Stadium from Brentford.

Speaking to French outlet [Téléfoot Chaîne](https://twitter.com/telefoot_chaine/status/1318962541708644355?s=20), the 25-year-old winger said: “No (I didn’t fail the medical), everything is very good.”

Benrahma could well be in line to make his Hammers debut this weekend against Manchester City having [reportedly](https://www.claretandhugh.info/benrahma-enjoys-successful-first-day/) trained well all week with his new teammates.

The Algerian continued to discuss his deadline day switch: “It was just details that needed sorting out. Some results hadn’t come through yet. It was either we waited and I didn’t sign or it gets done quickly. That was it, small details, but my health is very, very good.”

Having enjoyed a[superb Championship campaign](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/said-benrahma/leistungsdaten/spieler/290532/plus/0?saison=2019) last term, Irons fans are right to be excited ahead of their first glimpse of their new man, and he is happy to in East London: ‘“There were small details that Brentford and West Ham had to sort out, but it got done and I’m super happy. It took time, but it’s over now. I’m 100% at West Ham.”
