Portuguese outlet Record have claimed that West Ham are in a battle with Everton for Benfica winger Jota Felipe.
The Portuguese Under-21 international was reportedly close to sealing a loan switch to La Liga side Valencia, although now it seems that the Spaniards now face some late competition from the Premier League.
The 21-year-old, who can play across the frontline, scored twice, and made three assists during the 2019/20 campaign for Benfica.
The Lisbon-born youngster has come through the ranks at the Estádio da Luz, although he only started six matches in all competitions last season.

Having come close to a loan move to Valencia, it remains to be seen whether any interest from the Hammers would be for a temporary or a permanent transfer.
Jota did sign a new four-and-a-half-year contract earlier this year and he is still thought to be regarded as a bright prospect by the Portuguese giants, perhaps meaning he will not be available on the cheap, or even at all on a permanent basis.
Having recently witnessed the sale of young English winger Grady Diangana to West Brom, David Moyes should have funds available and could also be looking to add additional firepower to his squad this summer.
