West Ham United are considering a move for AFC Bournemouth defender Adam Smith, according to The Telegraph.
The 29-year-old, who can play in either full-back position, is a target for the Hammers as David Moyes looks to finalise his squad ahead of the Premier League season.
Smith began his career at Tottenham Hotspur, making two appearances for the club before departing for Bournemouth in 2014, having previously enjoyed a loan spell at Dean Court.
The right-back has been a regular performer Eddie Howe’s team since his arrival on the south coast.

Last season, Smith cemented his place at right-back, playing 24 times as the Cherries were ultimately relegated from the Premier League.
Following their relegation, Bournemouth have already lost a number of their Premier League squad and look set to lose more in the coming days, with Callum Wilson linked with a move back to the top flight.
Having made over 200 appearances for the Cherries’ it is likely Smith would leave with a heavy heart, however, it is something he must consider in order to continue playing Premier League football.
Despite the versatile Smith perhaps not being regarded as a marquee signing, its that versatility that makes the Under-21 international a desirable prospect for Moyes.
